The longest run for the year (the last two years). Finally we opt out for a real long run with ugly Niki and Jordan, we appointed a meeting at 7.30 in the morning and we discussed that we can make 30k from Dragalevtsi to Zheleznica and back. I dressed well like for minus temperature, but it was 5 in the morning and around 10 in the noon, when we finished our 4 hour tenure.

For the run, it was still muddy and icy in several places, so we needed to slow down and walk often, but we were maintaining good pace. Jordan was furious and he was running like a pro and I was always behind him and Niki. Nevertheless I was maintaining good pace and I was with poles and running, or better moving with them. After 20k I felt some pain in the knee, which gradually extended upwards to where the leg connects with the body. I still don’t understand this pain, it’s quite usual when I run for two or more hours. Is it something with the muscles or something with ligaments, I’m not strong enough, I’m not trained enough? I need to finally understand. After that I decreased the pace and switch to power walking. When I tried to run the pain was killing me, especially when I stepped on a stone or in ice, I felt that the end of the world is coming. Fortunately last two kilometers are very relaxed so I even run and I felt joy in the pain.

After this 4 hours every one was happy. Jordan and myself awarded ourselves with banitsa and boza, which were more than incredible.

Now I’m traveling to my new home town of Krumovgrad and I hope that I could maintain my running there from day one.
